Wauponsee Township is one of seventeen townships in Grundy County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,423 and it contained 939 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 27.98 square miles (72.5 km2), of which 26.79 square miles (69.4 km2) (or 95.75%) is land and 1.19 square miles (3.1 km2) (or 4.25%) is water.[1]
