El Rancho is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California.[2] El Rancho sits at an elevation of 390 feet (120 m).[2] The 2010 United States census reported El Rancho's population was 124.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers an area of 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

The 2010 United States Census[3] reported that El Rancho had a population of 124. The population density was 1,722.0 people per square mile (664.9/km²). The racial makeup of El Rancho was 71 (57.3%) White, 1 (0.8%) African American, 1 (0.8%) Native American, 0 (0.0%) Asian, 0 (0.0%) Pacific Islander, 49 (39.5%) from other races, and 2 (1.6%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 117 persons (94.4%).

The Census reported that 124 people (100% of the population) lived in households, 0 (0%) lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 0 (0%) were institutionalized.

There were 29 households, out of which 12 (41.4%) had children under the age of 18 living in them, 17 (58.6%) were opposite-sex married couples living together, 7 (24.1%) had a female householder with no husband present, 2 (6.9%) had a male householder with no wife present. There were 1 (3.4%) unmarried opposite-sex partnerships, and 0 (0%) same-sex married couples or partnerships. 3 households (10.3%) were made up of individuals and 1 (3.4%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
