The University of the Punjab, Gujranwala (also referred to as Punjab University, Gujranwala campus or PUGC) (Urdu: جامعہ پنجاب، گوجرانوالہ) is a public teaching and research university in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. PU Gujranwala is the third-oldest of the five University of the Punjab campuses. The university occupies 81 kanals (10.03 acres or 4.02 ha) located near the Ali Pur Chowk, Rawalpindi bypass, Gujranwala. The University offers undergraduate, graduate and post graduate programs in four main departments.[1]

Until now three director generals have served the university: Dr Liaqat Ali, Dr Malik Ihsan and Dr Sayyid Salman Rizavi who are well known educationists of Pakistan.
