WEYS-LP is a low-power television station in Miami, Florida, broadcasting locally on channel 6 as an Almavision owned-and-operated station.

History as W56AZ

Founded by the Board of County Commissioners in 1980 it was first broadcast over channel 56 in 1983 as an independent station. It ran some of the local community access programing in both English and Spanish formats to be suitable throughout the county. Between 1987 and 1989 the station went temporarily dark mainly due to license renewals. Despite the setbacks, the format remains the same with more additional programming. With rapid expansion through cable services county commissioners sold the station in 2001 to WEYS Television Crop which then air Telenoticas. The English format at that point was replace with mostly Spanish programming full-time as a relay translator.

As WEYS LP

By 2003 the call sign was changed to its current WEYS LP and it was later sold to CAYO HUESO NETWORKS, LLC the station continued as a relay translator until it was sold once more to ALMAVISION HISPANIC NETWORK, INC. in 2005. With the relay translator station of WSBS TV discontinued it ran religious programming full-time. As a low power station it remains as an analog station after the transition, its audio also can be picked up at 87.7 FM due to an overlap between channel 6 and the stard of the FM band.
