History

WGPS-LP served as an affiliate of the Daystar Television Network during much of the late 1990s, 2000s and early 2010s while under the callsigns of W59CY for the first four years, W22CL from 1999 to 2013, and then under the present WGPS-LP calls since 2013.

In July 1, 2014, WGPS became affiliated with Spanish-language network, Estrella TV on its main subchannel, with upstart health-lifestyle network, Doctor TV, being broadcast over WGPS’ second sub-channel.[3][4]

In 2015, two more subchannels were added. In Summer 2015, the Sonlife Broadcasting Network was launched onto WGPS-LD3. In December 2015, Grit was launched onto a fourth digital subchannel. During that month, Doctor TV was replaced by Sony Pictures Television's GetTV network on channel 22.2.

On November 29 2016, Cozi TV replaced Estrella TV at subchannel 22.1.

All subchannels are broadcast in a 480i 4:3 standard definition picture.
