Victoria Steele is a former Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives, serving until 2016. Before serving in the legislature, Steele had a career as a radio and TV anchor. Steele is a descendant of the Seneca people.[1]
In July 2015, she announced that she would run in the 2nd congressional district of Arizona for the 2016 United States House of Representatives, hoping to challenge incumbent Martha McSally.[2] She resigned from the Arizona legislature in January 2016 to focus on her congressional race.[3] Steele has been endorsed in the Democratic primary by U.S. Representative Raúl Grijalva.[4][5]
