Usman Zada Adra is a village in Tehsil Gujar Khan, District Rawalpindi. It is populated by one family of Chohan Rajputs, who generally are a proud people, and is reputed for its educated people. Due to the restrictions on the amount of land available some elders of the village realised early on that education was the key and children pursued it, achieving much in their chosen professions at that time. As others saw the benefits of education this was emulated as they realised that education was not a "closed shop" and therefore not the haven of a few. Privately as with all families generally as is expected, members vie for prominence with each convinced that they are better than their brothers and do nor accept any sub-family to be any better than they are irrespective of their wealth or education. However at large they stand together against others as was witnessed in the recent U.C. elections.

The village is rural and maintains its rural Potohar traditions being popular for its camel and bull sports. As well as being affluent, witnessed by the number of new houses being built, there are people who are very educated in the UK and elsewhere. They are mostly humble and do not like to disclose their level of wealth or education.

There are many people from this village based in the UK, mainly in Manchester, Oxford and Telford and some in other towns. There is also a sizeable contingent based in the Middle East. Lately there has been a move to emigration to Spain.
