The Ulster Minor Club Football Championship (Irish: Comórtas Pheil Mhionúr Chumann Uladh), sometimes known as the St. Paul's Tournament,[2] is an annual gaelic football tournament played between the hundreds of minor football club teams in Ulster.
Minor club championships are held in each of the nine counties of Ulster. The nine county winners go on to play each other in the Ulster Club Championship in a knock-out format.
The 2015 winners were Crossmaglen Rangers from Armagh.
The tournament is organised and hosted by St. Paul's GAC, from Belfast. While unofficial, it is regarded as the Ulster Club Championship for Minor teams.[2] It began in 1982 and the Jimmy McConville cup has been presented since 1983.[3] The competition usually begins at the end of November with the final taking place in January, typically on New Year's Day (e.g. the 2008 final took place on 1 January 2009).
