Tidermène is a village and rural commune in the Cercle of Ménaka in the Gao Region of south-eastern Mali. In the 2009 census the commune had a population of 5,816.[1] The commune of Tidermène was originally larger but was divided in 2001 to create the commune of Alata.[2] The combined area of the two communes is approximately 29,000 square kilometers.[3]
