From Here to Eternity a novel by James Jones about the bombing of Pearl Harbor, spent 20 weeks atop the NYT fiction bestseller's list in 1951 and led to the filming of a popular movie of the same name starring Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr and Frank Sinatra
