Telluride is a ghost town in Lander County, state of Nevada in the United States.

History

A miner camp was founded in the area in 1875, due to the find of the Dollar Mine. The mine was located in a height of 7,500 feet (2,300 m) and it was a great problem for the transport of the extracted ore in the area.[1] Although in the site there were stores of several business and a saloon, the problem was the height of the site that blocked any future perspectives for Telluride. The mine was closed in 1912 and people had abandoned the site. More a ghost town was born in Nevada. There were recent miner activity in the area and the only remains of the old site are scant ruins.[1]
