Shuanghu County, formerly Shuanghu Special District, is a county within the Nagchu Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Shuanghu is Tibetan translation, means two lakes, including kangru lake and rejiao lake. The very high elevation of Shuanghu County, the county is about 5000 meters above sea level.

Shuanghu county has Kunlun Mountains and other attractions. Shuanghu county has many wild animals, including the Tibetan antelope, wild yak, Tibetan wild ass, Mongolian gazelle, snow leopard, brown bear, bighorn sheep, Shiyang, fox, lynx, marmot, wolf, Tetraogallus, pigeons and gulls, bar headed goose, fish gulls, cormorants and terns and other.

Shuanghu County vast land, few people, cold and dry climate is semi desert grass. Natural resources include boron, tin, gold, chromite, salt, oil shale, jade, mica, Amethyst etc. Animal husbandry has yak, sheep, goat breeding.
