Sergei Gennadyevich Karasev (Russian: Сергей Геннадьевич Карасёв; born 12 June 1979) is a Russian international referee.

Karasev became a FIFA referee in 2010.[1] He has refereed at 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers,[2] beginning with the Group A match between Scotland and FYR Macedonia.[3] He was the referee for Ireland's 1-0 victory over Austria and Italy`s victory over Israel. Sergei referees many UEFA tournaments including FC Barcelona`s 3-1 victory over Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League in 2016. He also travelled to France to referee some Euro 2016 matches.
