Rodney Ellis Tention (born May 27, 1963) is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach at San Jose State. He was formerly the head men's basketball coach at the College of Notre Dame and Loyola Marymount University. Tention was then hired an assistant at Stanford University under head coach Johnny Dawkins.
