Renown Coaches[1] are a bus and coach operator based in Bexhill-on-Sea, United Kingdom.

History

Renown Coaches was established in 1962. In the 1980s it diversified into local bus services.[2]

In March 2006 Renown Group set up Cavendish Motor Services[3] to operate commercial services in Eastbourne. This was sold in January 2009 to Stagecoach in Eastbourne.[4] However because of a Competition Commission inquiry, the transfer was not effected until October 2009.[5]

Operations and routes

Renown Coaches operates both commercial and subsidised services in East Sussex and Kent.[2] It also operates a coach charter fleet.

Renown also operate school services, and free bus services to ASDA stores in Eastbourne and Hollingbury.[6]

Fleet

The bus livery was green and cream as carried by the former Southdown Motor Services, but now changed to a two toned green and cream. The coach livery is black and gold.
