Pochepsky District (Russian: По́чепский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,887 square kilometers (729 sq mi).[5] Its administrative center is the town of Pochep.[1] Population: 42,365(2010 Census);[6] 46,972 (2002 Census);[9] 48,957(1989 Census).[10] The population of Pochep accounts for 40.5% of the district's total population.[6]
