Orbi Georgian Airways was a Georgian airline that ceased operations in 1997, when it was renamed Georgian Airlines.[1][2]
Accidents and incidents
- On 20 September 1993, Tupolev Tu-134A (65809) was struck by gunfire or missiles from Abkhaz rebels while parked at Babusheri Airport.[3]
- On 22 September 1993, Tupolev Tu-154B (85163) was attempting to land at Sukhumi when it was shot down, crashing onto the runway, killing 108 of 132 on board in Georgia's worst-ever air incident.[4]
- On 23 September 1993, Tupolev Tu-154B-2 (85359) was struck by mortar or artillery fire and was reportedly written off.[5]
