Newtown is an unincorporated community in King and Queen County, Virginia, United States.[1]

The Newtown Historic District and Providence Plantation and Farm are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hamlet has existed since the colonial era. The original group of houses dates back to the 18th century. During the Civil War, Confederate General George Pickett and his forces camped in Newtown on their way to Gettysburg.[2]

Newtown is known today for its quarter-mile dirt drag track.
