Matihani, Nepal is a village development committee in Mahottari District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 6888 people living in 1292 individual households.There are lots of place to visit here. The second largest Laxmi narayan temple of Nepal is located at the centre of matihani.In front of this temple there is a big pound named "Laxmi narayan pound" according to the holy book(Ramayan) of hindu,The ceremoni of sita "matkor" was held here. One of the famous school of mahottary district is here named "Shree Ram higher secondary school -8" One of the great philosopher was born in this village Named "SHIV SAH"... [1]
