List of Derbyshire County Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Derbyshire in top-class matches since the club was founded in 1870. The club had important match status from its foundation and is classified as an important team by substantial sources from 1871 to 1887;[1][2] classified as an official first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;[3] and classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963.[4]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Derbyshire player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Derbyshire and that some played for earlier Derbyshire teams before 1870. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2016 season.[5]
