Kaina (Manipur)

Kaina is a small hillock in Manipur sacred to Hindus. It lies about 29 km from the capital, Imphal. It lies on the Imphal - Yariripok road. It is said to be the place where King Bhagya Chandra received an epiphany to carve a statue of Lord Govinda from a sacred jackfruit tree.[1]

The government of Manipur has started taking up a project to convert the place to a Mega Tourist Spot.
