Prof. K A Nizami was a Historian and Indian ambassador to Syria (1975–1977).

Early life and education

K A Nizami (Khaliq Ahmad Nizami) (1925–1997) born in Amroha, United Provinces, British India. He completed M.A History in 1945, from Meerut College, University of Agra, and he was awarded the LL.B. degree by the same University.

Academic career

Prof. Nizami joined Aligarh Muslim University, in the Department of History, in 1947.and he served as Vice-Chancellor (acting) from 3 January 1974 to 30 August 1974.
