Jesper Jørgensen (Danish pronunciation: [ˈjɛspɐ jøɐ̯ɡ̊ənsən]; born 9 May 1984 in Varde) is a Danish professional footballer, who currently plays for Esbjerg fB in the Danish Superliga.

Career

Jørgensen began his career with Janderup Billum Samarbejde (JBS) and signed in July 2002 for local rival Varde IF. After one year Jørgensen left Varde IF and his hometown to sign with Esbjerg fB in summer 2003.[1]

After 201 matches for Esbjerg he announced his move to Gent in the winter transfer window.[2]

In June 2012, Club Brugge announced that Jørgensen signed a three-year contract with the club.[3]

International career

The midfielder played international for the U-19 four matches and four for the Under-20 team.[4]
