Henrietta is a town in Richland County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 479 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Hub City and Woodstock are located in the town. The ghost town of Henrietta was also located in the town.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.9 square miles (93.1 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 479 people, 196 households, and 146 families residing in the town. The population density was 13.3 people per square mile (5.1/km²). There were 276 housing units at an average density of 7.7 per square mile (3.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.54% White, 0.21% African American, and 1.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.42% of the population.

There were 196 households out of which 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.3% were married couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.82.

In the town the population was spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 27.8% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 107.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.2 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $31,354, and the median income for a family was $33,542. Males had a median income of $25,250 versus $21,538 for females. The per capita income for the town was $17,598. About 6.5% of families and 8.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 14.9% of those under age 18 and 5.3% of those age 65 or over.
