Portugal selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 through the 2007 edition of "Festival da Canção", the national selection final, on 10 March 2007. This edition had 100% televoting instead of the previous year's 50%-50% mix with a jury. Composers were contacted to write one song each, although the identities of the performers of the songs were to be decided by the composers.[1]

The host of Festival da Canção was Pavilhão Atlântico, and the winner was Sabrina with the song "Dança comigo".
