Edinburg, Ohio

Edinburg is an unincorporated community in Edinburg Township, Portage County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.[1]

History

The first settlement at Edinburg was made in 1815.[2] A post office was established at Edinburg in 1822, and remained in operation until 1903.[3] Edinburg and Edinburg Township were named for the fact several men with the last name Eddy were pioneer settlers in the area.[4]
