Earl Mitchell (born September 25, 1987) is an American football defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona.

Mitchell attended North Shore High School in Houston, Texas.

Mitchell attended the University of Arizona from 2006 to 2009.

Mitchell was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round (81st overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.[1]

Miami Dolphins

On March 11, 2014, he was signed by the Miami Dolphins to a four-year, $16 million contract including $9 million guaranteed.[2]

On September 13, 2016, Mitchell was placed on injured reserve.[3] He was activated off injured reserve to the active roster on November 10, 2016 prior to Week 10.[4]
