Bengt Feldreich

Bengt Walter Feldreich (born 12 September 1925 in Stockholm) is a Swedish journalist and television host.[1] He is the father of the journalist and former basketball player Sten Feldreich.

Feldreich started working at AB Radiotjänst in 1950. He has been the news presenter for many popular science programs, including Snillen spekulerar (Nobel Minds). In 1961 he hosted the TV quiz show Tiotusenkronors-frågan (based on the US show The $64,000 Question). Feldreich was the summer host of the radio programme Sommar in 196062, 196469, 197476 and 2004. He was also the presenter of Melodifestivalen in 1962.

Feldreich was "julvärd" (Christmas Eve host) in SVT between 1959 and 1971, and is still the narrator of the Disney show From All of Us to All of You, which has been broadcast on SVT every Christmas Eve since 1960.

In 1975, Feldreich was awarded an honorary degree at Linköping University. In 1984, he was awarded the KTH Great Prize by the Royal Institute of Technology for "mirroring technology and science in mass media for the benefit of research and development".[2]
