Bashir Jan

Bashir Jan (born 1964) is a Pakistani politician, joind the Awami National Party in 2000, became member of Central Executive Committee. Elected twice as Deputy Genral Secretary in 2004 & 2008 and since 2011 General Secretary of the Awami National Party.?[1]

Life

He was born in Guratai, Barikot, Swat. He graduated from Federal Urdu University and obtained a masters in Political Science from Karachi University, in 2003.

He was appointed as Deputy general secretary of Awami National Party (Sindh)2004 to 2010. After that he was elected as a General secretary of Awami National Party Sindh Province from 2010 since 2015. He was also nominated as a member of Central Working Committee of the Awami National Party in 2008 and was elected vice-president of the Pukhtoon Action Committee.

His struggle Against Terrorism

Bashir Jan is a person who speaks against terrorist and terrorism at every platform, that's why he was attacked four times by Taliban and other terrorist, in different time frame.

Third time he was attacked by unknown persons at frontier colony, Metroville, S.I.T.E Karachi on 17 August 2012.
