Alejandro Miranda is a fictional man and the main hero from TV Azteca's Emperatriz. The character is portrayed by Peruvian actor Bernie Paz.[1]

Story
Alejandro Miranda is a charming lawyer. He was married to Margarita Del Real, who died in an accident. Years after her death, Esther, the eldest of Margarita's nieces, fell in love with him since teenage. Alejandro met Emperatriz, the first woman he fell in love with after Margarita. However, Emperatriz rejected his love. Although Margarita is dead, hia father-in-law, Justo Del Real loves him as a son. He was Justo's must trusted person. 8 years later, he returns to Mexico with his fiancée, Isabel Cristina. Alejandro and Emperatriz re-encounters again. Emperatriz decide to fight for Alejandro despite he is getting married to Isabel. Emperatriz reveals that Isabel was a prostitute in Switzerland. Alejandro was upset with Esther for not telling him the truth. Isabel once again lied him by faking her stroke in order to separate Emperatriz from him. Once again, the determined Emperatriz was able to unmask Isabel.
Just when Emperatriz and Alejandro are able to live happily, another circumstances comes in. Justo is not happy with their relationship, since Emperatriz is his worst enemy. Justo tries everything to separate them, including helping Isabel once. Justo even blackmailed Emperatriz if she doesn't leave Alejandro. Alejandro did not give up. Since then, Justo no longer sees him as a son, but an enemy.
Justo shot Alejandro. Alejandro ends up with a memory lost. Esther, who has been in love with him manipulated and took advantage on him when he suffered memory lost. Emperatriz, tries everything so that he could gain his memory back until she succeeded. Alejandro was disappointed with Esther.
When Emperatriz and him wanted to start a life together, Elisa tells Emperatriz that Esther is her daughter. This causes Emperatriz to end their relationship in order to gain Esther's love. Alejandro did not give up. He tries to get Emperatriz back. Soon, his ex-girlfriend, Marlene, who is still in love with him, and his money, returns. Marlene would try everything to have Alejandro including joining forces with Manuel, Emperatriz's ex-husband.
Casting
Among the names that were rumored to cast as Alejandro was Christian Meier, Saul Lisazo, José Ángel Llamas, and Mauricio Islas. Meier rejected the offer. Gabriela Spanic did not want to work with Lisazo, Llamas and Islas since she had issues with them before.
