2008–09 PlusLiga is the 73rd season of Polish Championship (9th season as professional league - PlusLiga) organized by Professional Volleyball League SA (Polish: Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej S.A.) under the supervision of Polish Volleyball Federation (Polish: Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej).

Trefl Gdańsk was promoted to PlusLiga in this season.

In season 2008/2009 PGE Skra Bełchatów and Domex Tytan AZS Częstochowa have been played in CEV Champions League, AZS UWM Olsztyn and Jastrzębski Węgiel played in the CEV Cup, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in CEV Challenge Cup

PGE Skra Bełchatów achieved 5th title of Polish Champion.[1] In final match they beat Asseco Resovia Rzeszów 1-3 (21:25, 25:22, 23:25, 19:25).[2] Bronze medal won Jastrzębski Węgiel after matches with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3:1 (25:20, 14:25, 25:22, 25:16).[3]
