Local elections will be held in Pasig City on May 9, 2016 within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the congressman, and the councilors, six of them in the two districts of the city.

Background

Bobby Eusebio, the former City Mayor and husband of the incumbent Mayor, Maribel Eusebio will be facing independent candidate Odylon Vincent Ramos for the mayoralty post in the polls. Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo will be seeking a reelection for his post. He will run under the Liberal Party.[1]

Also expected in the city's elections is the three-way race for the Representative post of the Lone District of Pasig, which is disputed by Christian Sia, Ricky Eusebio and Mons Romulo, sister of former Pasig representative and senatorial aspirant Roman Romulo.[2]

One of the candidates for the city council seat is the son of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes and former chief-of-staff of a Quezon City councilor, Vico Sotto,[3] and Kiko Rustia, a Survivor Philippines Castaway, TV Host and actor.[4]
