Ziguy Badibanga (born November 26, 1991) is a Belgian professional football player who plays as a Winger.[1]

Club career

Badibanga was born in Evere, Belgium of Congolese descent. He began his career in 2009 at Belgian giants R.S.C. Anderlecht and spent two and a half years at the club where he clearly showed the talent he possessed as he scored 2 league goals in 19 league games in the city of Anderlecht. During his time contracted at Anderlecht he wasn't playing enough games, so in January 2012 he decided to accept a half year loan offer abroad in Doetinchem, Netherlands to play for De Graafschap where he hoped he could prove his worth to earn himself a first team place to when he would return to Anderlecht at the end of the season. His short stint in the Netherlands was unsuccessful, although he got the playing time he was looking for as he played 18 league games but he didn't score any goals for the club and wasn't able to produce the quality everyone knew he had. In the summer of 2012 he returned to Belgium and Anderlecht and during the pre-season he didn't impress enough to earn himself a starting place at the club for the upcoming 2012-13 season. But the club were still not willing to sell him completely, so they decided that he be loaned for a full year at a Belgian club to properly see how he'd go because the club didn't monitor him enough while he was playing in the Netherlands. Eventually Ziguy accepted a 1-year loan offer to go to the Belgian city of Chaleroi to play for R. Charleroi S.C. where he showed what he was capable of, as he played 23 league games and scored 3 goals and was a very threatening figure every time he was on the ball, he showed his creativeness generally and impressed a lot of pundits. At the end of the season he returned to Anderlecht and the club were preparing to use him as a starting player but his impressive year at Chaleroi attracted offers from clubs around Europe. In the summer of 2013 although he finally was going to get what he worked hard for, a starting place in the Anderlecht team, to the surprise of all Anderlecht fans, he decided to leave the club permanently as he accepted an offer to move abroad to Heraklion, Crete, Greece to sign for Ergotelis F.C.. He had a really successful first year with club and in Greek football in 2013-14, he played 29 league games and scored 6 league goals and excited the crowds the way he would dribble with the ball and also impressed everyone with his physical strength. In the summer of 2015, Ziguy who looked happy and settled with the Crete club surprised all Ergotelis fans as he accepted an offer to move to Tripoli, Arcadia to sign with other Greek club Asteras Tripoli F.C.. His one year in Arcadia was generally unsuccessful as he only played 14 league games and scored no goals although despite he impressed with his performances for the club in the Europa League that season and still excited the crowd with how he was playing his football. In the summer of 2015, Badibanga moved on once again as he accepted an offer to go to Nicosia, Cyprus to play for one of the country's top and most popular clubs AC Omonia.
