Xylocopa aestuans, or Xylocopa (Koptortosoma) aestuans, is a species of carpenter bee. It is widely distributed in Southeast Asia, India and Southern China and few parts of Europe. [1]

it is a large bee about more than 20mm long. It can easily be confused with Xylocopa confusa, but the two species can be identified by color variations.[2]
