Xiao Yang (simplified Chinese: 肖扬; traditional Chinese: 蕭揚; pinyin: Xiāo Yáng; Jyutping: Chiu3 Yeung4; born August 1938 in Heyuan, Guangdong) was the former President of the Supreme People's Court of China.

Biography

He received his LL.B degree from Renmin University of China Law School in 1962.

Xiao Yang was the Minister of Justice from 1993 to 1998. He was elected as the President of the Supreme People's Court in 1998 to replace Ren Jianxin and was re-elected in 2003 for the second term.

Xiao Yang was a member of the 15th and 16th CPC Central Committee.
