Doalnara Restoration Society (돌나라한농복구회) was established in the Republic of Korea in 1980 in accordance to the teachings of Teacher Suk Sun. Doalnara is a gathering of people who follow Heaven’s Providence with an unchanging heart and character as firm as stone.[1]

Doalnara developed 10 organic farms in Korea, pollution-free communities of happiness where dreams come true. There are also 12 regions outside Korea, in countries such as the United States, Philippines, China, Japan, and Brazil.

Doalnara is led by Teacher Suk Sun. He lives in the mountains and nature, shunning wealth and honor. His life and teachings are the precious base of Doalnara thought and ideology, changing people’s lives even today.

Doalnara Ideology

Doalnara’s foundation is based on the ideology of Teacher Suk Sun, whose teachings include:

First: When you trace back to the origins and roots of humanity, we came from the same parents and are one family. This is a Bible-based fact, not just a sentiment or theory.

Second: All the countless troubles and problems in humanity originate from our hearts, which is minuscule compared to the universe. Conquering the selfishness in our hearts will change the earth into a happier world.

Third: The true happiness that humanity seeks is fulfilled when our present family becomes a “mini-heaven,” not when we go to a visible Heaven. That is when Heaven is truly fulfilled.

Doalnara was established with these 3 central ideologies.

Doalnara Lifestyle

Teacher Suk Sun teaches that all humanity is one family, and that we are all brothers and sisters. Therefore we use titles fitting to a family such as brother, sister, mother, father, aunt, and uncle, instead of a vertical society with a president, chairman, pastor, elder, or other authoritative titles. When a title is necessary for external activities, we accept the title as the family member who is in the position to humbly serve others out of brotherly love, not to order or control them.

Doalnara members keep the holy day of Sabbath on Saturday according to God’s Word. This is a happy day when the whole family gathers to “respect God and love others” by praising our Heavenly Parents and spending quality time together. The Sabbath is a day to enjoy Heaven’s countless blessings in observance of the fourth of the Ten Commandments which tells us to, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”[2]

New Agriculture - Respecting the Land

Doalnara departed from the conventional agriculture which focuses solely on convenience and economics to initiate an agriculture that values the soil and seeks to understand nature. For the past 20 years, Instead of the convenience of using chemical fertilizers or herbicides, Doalnara chose the path of organic agriculture. Rather than choosing the agriculture that focuses solely on profit, Doalnara chose to put environmental restoration as the highest priority. All Doalnara regions throughout the world are managed using only organic agricultural methods and produce products that are free from agricultural chemicals.

New Diet - Respecting Our Body

Doalnara eats a diet of saints,[3] a natural diet under the principle that “a healthy diet makes a healthy body, and healthy mind comes from a healthy body.” Doalnara grows produce full of vitamins and minerals in soils incomparable with the depleted soils of conventional farms. Through research and development, Doalnara uses that produce to make various health food products.

The Strength of Doalnara - the Decalogue

Doalnara has kept the Ten Commandments, the fundamental order of all people, in practice and conscience. “With your heart, love your Heavenly Real Parents who begot you, and do not fight with your brethren but live happily.” By this simple and comprehensive teaching, Doalnara families, schools, and communities lack walls and have not seen violence and crime for more than 30 years. Doalnara is the only place in the world free from alcohol, tobacco, violence, verbal and physical abuse, agricultural chemicals, and chemical additives.

Vision

It was true mentality, not material properties or the advancement of civilization, that protected individuals, society, nations, and made the world happy. The goal of Doalnara was never for wealth from outward success of business or stable livelihood, but for inward value of people, the true strength that moves the world. According to the teachings of Teacher Suk Sun, Doalnara strove to bear fruits in our lives, choosing poverty over wealth, and the lower place over the higher place. Now the time has come for the new world, which people have so long dreamt about, to begin! Doalnara is the new seed to sprout a new life, a new family, a new country, and a new world! Doalnara is the country filled with hope, with a new mind, a new heart, a new ideology, and a new motive! Doalnara will continue striving to transform the world and make it a jubilant new world without selfishness or greed, an earth where everyone is happy.
