Will Parks (born 1994) is an American football safety for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.[1] He played college football at the University of Arizona.
Professional career
On May 12, 2016 Parks signed his first professional contract with the Broncos.[2] In Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Parks recorded his first career interception off of a tipped pass, helping to preserve a 29-17 win for the Broncos.
On November 13, 2016 as the New Orleans Saints attempted to win the game with a PAT at the Superdome, and it was blocked by teammate Justin Simmons, Parks grabbed it in midair and ran it in for a 2-point safety, winning the game for the Broncos instead 25-23.[3] A challenge by the Saints, who claimed he momentarily stepped out of bounds was denied by the referees, with his white shoes matching the color of the sidelines so closely that video evidence was inconclusive, to which Parks replied: “I did ballerina when I was 5 years old, so I know I had the balance to stay in.”
