Will Lamb (also known as William Lamb) is a linguist who was born in Baltimore and came to Scotland in 1996 to do an MSc in Scottish Gaelic at the University of Edinburgh.[1] He was awarded a PhD for his research into the linguistic registers of Scottish Gaelic in 2002[1] and published two books based on the first ever tagged speech corpus of Scottish Gaelic.[1] He subsequently taught Gaelic and music at the Benbecula campus of Lews Castle College.[1] He is currently working as a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh.
