West Milton is a village in the county of Dorset in South West England, situated in the West Dorset administrative district approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Bridport.

The writer and broadcaster Kenneth Allsop lived in the old water mill in West Milton until his death in 1973. Here he wrote In the Country, a collection of essays mostly about the surrounding Dorset countryside.[1]
