Wayne Dupree (born December 10, 1968), sometimes called the NewsNinja, is an American conservative talk radio host, blogger, and political commentator. He is also the founder and CEO of We Are America Radio, a conservative internet radio network.

Early life

Wayne Ernest Dupree was born on December 10, 1968. In 1986, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and subsequently served in the Gulf War. He was honorably discharged in 1995.[1]

Career

Wayne Dupree is the founder and host of The Wayne Dupree Show, which is televised on the Right Side Broadcasting Network and simulcast on the Spreaker podcasting platform.[2][3] Dupree is also the founder and CEO of the conservative internet radio network We Are America Radio, commonly referred to as WAAR.[1]

Dupree has also appeared as a political commentator on television networks Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, One America News Network, and Newsmax.[4][5]

Dupree has been an active commentator and campaigner in American politics. He frequently spoke at Tea Party rallies, and joined the Tea Party Express bus tour in 2014 to travel from Florida to Minnesota hosting rallies.[6] He was included in a list of 2016 "election influencers" published by the MIT Media Lab, which ranked people by their influence in news and Twitter discussions about the 2016 presidential election.[7] He has interviewed many of the 2016 Republican primary candidates on his radio show, including Republican Party nominee Donald Trump.[1] He will speak at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference.[1]

In April 2016, the Citizens for Trump grassroots campaign announced that Dupree would be joining them as their National Spokesperson and Minority Outreach Liaison.[8]

Awards

In 2014, Dupree was one of three to win "Best in Show: Podcast" at the yearly Blog Bash event, hosted by the Foundation for National Bloggers Club at the Conservative Political Action Conference.[9] Dupree was named Blogger of the Year by the American Conservative Union in 2015.[10]
