Village Hotel Club operates 28 hotels in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1995, and is now owned by Denver-based private equity firm KSL Capital Partners.

History

In March 2014, Village Urban Resorts was acquired from De Vere Group by KSL Capital Partners for £435m as part of the group disposal with sale proceedings being used to payback debts of over £1.75bn.[1]

Hotels

Village hotels are mainly located on the outskirts of large towns and cities within England, Wales and Scotland. Hotels are mid-sized and operate at the luxury/lifestyle end of the market. Each hotel typically has between 110 and 160 rooms, a bar (branded as The Public House), a restaurant, a Starbucks, a gym (incl. swimming pool) and meeting & conference rooms (branded as MeetMe Business Hub). Most hotels also have a spa and the Village Hotel Blackpool boasts a 18 hole championship golf course.

The chain has 28 hotels which they split into two categories based on the hotel style; Legacy and Black Box hotels. Village currently operates 20 legacy hotels and 8 black box style hotels.

Works are due to start on their 29th, 153 bedroom, hotel at Lakeside Business Park in Portsmouth.[2]
