Viktor Klonaridis (Greek: Βίκτωρ Κλωναρίδης, born 28 July 1992) is a Greek-Belgian footballer who plays for RC Lens in Ligue 2, as a forward or winger. Klonaridis was born in his native Belgium to a Greek father and a Belgian Flemish mother.

Club career

AEK Athens

On 21 September 2011, Klonaridis scored his first goal with AEK against Skoda Xanthi and assisted Eiður Guðjohnsen to score another one in a 3–4 away victory. He also assisted Steve Leo Beleck's second goal in a 0–2 away victory against Panetolikos. In December he scored his first European goal, the third in an 3–1 away victory against Sturm Graz in the UEFA Europa League. He scored his third goal for his club in a derby match against Panathinaikos. He Scored his 4th goal with an header in 2–2 draw against Kerkyra. On 7 May 2012, he scored a goal against Panathinaikos in the Superleague Greece play off for the final score of 2–0.

Klonaridis' performances at AEK Athens attracted many teams in Europe, Lille who had shown interest in the talented winger, Dynamo Moscow, Standard Liège and Anderlecht.[1]

Lille

On 2 July 2012, Klonaridis signed a three-year contract with Lille OSC for a reported fee of €800,000.[2][3][4] On 31 January 2013, he joined Belgian Second Division side Mouscron-Péruwelz on loan from Lille.[5]

Panathinaikos

On 2 September 2013, Klonaridis joined Panathinaikos as a free agent on a four-year deal.[6] On 25 September 2013, he scored on his debut, against Ergotelis F.C. in the Greek Cup. On 10 November 2013, he netted twice in a 2–0 win against Aris F.C. (Thessaloniki).[7] On 14 May 2014, he helped his club claim Greece's second Champions League spot scoring in a 1–1 draw against Atromitos in the playoffs which left Panathinaikos with an unassailable lead at the top of the table with one match left.[8][9]

At the beginning of 2015–16 season Klonaridis faced injury problems causing him to train separately from the rest of the squad.[10] On 28 October 2015, he scored his first goal for the season, playing in the Greek Cup against Levadiakos. On 3 December 2015, Panathinaikos won 2–1 against Panachaiki at Pampeloponnisiako Stadium thanks to a brace scored by him in the first half.[11] On 23 May 2016, he scored in a 3–0 defeat of rivals AEK Athens reaching 100 appearances with for Panathinaikos.[12]

In summer 2016 Klonaridis changed his shirt number to 28. On 14 August 2016, Panathinaikos accepted a bid from Belgian club Lokerenfor a transfer fee reported to be in the region of €300,000.[13] However, the move was not completed.[14]

Lens

On 31 August 2016, the last day of the summer window transfer, Klonaridis returned to France, signing a two-year contract with Ligue 2 club RC Lens, for an undisclosed fee.[15]
