[2]University of Baguio Science High School is a private, non-sectarian science high school located in the Baguio City, Philippines. The school was the first private science high school in Asia. It was located on a university belt, which was surrounded by numerous universities and other schools.

History

Currently, due to proclamation of the K to 12 program during the time of President Benigno Aquino III in 2013, it became first time in the history of the school to have separate departments for Grades 7 to 11 (Junior High) and Grades 11 to 12 (Senior High). Batch Omnino Exigo, Class of 2015, was the first of all the batches to have completed Junior High in the school. The school did not only serve as a school building for science high scholars, but also served as an examination and a seminar building for different courses in the university such as teacher education and the like.

The University of Baguio Science High School is home to a pioneering spirit that has made a tangible mark in the community: the first socially relevant programs conducted in a secondary school, the Immersion Camps, Survival Camps and Outreach Programs, were inaugurated in the Science High. The angel-soul relationship was one of its special relationships with the freshmen and seniors, was also the first of its kind in the Philippines and maybe, the world.

The University of Baguio Science High School placed first in the list of Top Ten performing schools in the Cordillera and Ilocos regions based on consistently high scores in the National Secondary Achievement Test (NSAT) and the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) results. Beyond academic excellence, the school is also home to outstanding athletes and artists who won awards from various regional and national competition/
