After being cancelled twice by CBS, Unforgettable was picked up by A&E for a fourth season.[1] The season premiered on November 27, 2015, with two back-to-back episodes.[2] The final four episodes all aired on January 22, 2016.

In February 2016, A&E opted not to order a fifth season.[3] The final episode of season four ended on a cliffhanger with Al being shot by a sniper after a case involving tampering with Carrie's memory. This supposedly was to lead into a fifth season; the cancellation, however, leaves the said plot element unresolved pending a third revival.
