Theophilus Jones (1666–1742)

Theophilus Jones (2 September 1666 14 Mar 1742) was an Irish Member of Parliament. He sat in the House of Commons of Ireland from 1692 until his death in 1742.[1]

He lived in Headfort, near Drumsna, County Leitrim.[2]

He was a Member of Parliament for Sligo Borough from 1692 to 1695, and then for Leitrim from 1695 to 1742.[1]

His grandson Theophilus Jones (1729–1811) was a member of Parliament and a Privy Councillor.[2]
