The Residency

The Residency is the usual name of the official residence of a Resident, Resident Commissioner or Resident Councillor in the British Empire.

Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, The Residency, would referrer to the official residence of the Government Agent who was the head of the district in colonial and post colonial Sri Lanka.[1]
