The Hit List (2012 Indian film)

The Hit List (2012) is an Indian Malayalam action film written, directed and produced by Bala. The film, simultaneously made in Kannada too. The film marks the directorial debut of actor-producer Bala. Dhruv and Aishwarya Devan play the lead roles in Kannada while Aiswarya Devan pairs with Bala himself in the Malayalam version.^[1] Unni Mukundan appears in a guest role.^[2] The film has music composed by Alphons Joseph, with lyrics by Srikanth in Kannada, Santhosh Varma and Jophy Tharakan in Malayalam along with San Jaimt who has written and performed the rap verses.

The movie will, of course, have action sequences, a love story, songs and lot of suspense. Yet there will be a novelty in its treatment. Even the stunt sequences will be more rugged and realistic. The movie is going to be a two-hour chase. This is not a money making business for me. I leave all that to destiny and God. When I planned this project I thought I will have a big launch. But later I thought I will concentrate on the work and not in creating any hype.

The film completed production in late-June 2012. It released on 7 December 2012. The film is the exact copy of British movie Blitz (2011) which starred Jason Statham.
