The Greatest Showman is an upcoming American biographical musical drama film directed by Michael Gracey and written by Michael Arndt, Jenny Bicks, and Bill Condon. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Rebecca Ferguson, and Michelle Williams.

Production
In August 2011, Fox hired commercials director and visual effects artist Michael Gracey to direct the musical biopic.[1]
Jackman will feature in the film The Greatest Showman on Earth.[2] The part of Jenny Lind was being scripted for Anne Hathaway. On June 15, 2016, it was reported that Zac Efron began negotiations with the studio to star in the film.[3] In July 2016, Michelle Williams.[4]
Filming
Rehearsals on the film began in October 2016 in New York City, while the principal photography began on November 22, 2016.[5][6]
Release
The Greatest Showman on Earth is scheduled to be released by 20th Century Fox on December 25, 2017.[7] The film previously had a release date of December 25, 2016.[8]
