Thanh Hai Ngo (Ngô Thanh Hải, Vietnam, January 3, 1947) is a Conservative Party of Canada Senator representing Ontario. He was nominated by Governor General David Johnston on the advice of Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He is the first Canadian Senator of Vietnamese descent to sit in the Senate of Canada.

Ngo was born in Vietnam, was a former officer of Republic of Vietnam Military Forces.[1] and moved to Canada in 1975 after fleeing Vietnam via Malaysia.[2]

He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Paris and Bachelor and a Master of Education from the University of Ottawa.[2] Until his appointment to the Senate in 2012, he had been a citizenship judge from 2007 to 2012.
