The Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Islanders is the basketball team that represent Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. On March 11, 2007, the Islanders beat Northwestern State University 81–78 to win the Southland Conference tournament. With the win, the school earned its first bid to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. As a #15 seed, the Islanders lost their opening-round matchup to No. 2 seed Wisconsin, 76–63, after jumping out to a 10–0 lead and then 25–7 lead. Their tournament record is 0–1.
